GUKIRA
At GUKIRA we envision a society where every person, regardless of income or location, has access to quality rehabilitation care that enables them to live a full and dignified life.
We're a health-focused charitable initiative currently based in Ireland, with planned operations in Uganda, particularly in the Mityana district and its surrounding areas.
Our main focus is to provide accessible and affordable rehabilitation services to underserved populations people who are often left behind due to financial constraints or geographical barriers.
GUKIRA works to close the gap in rehabilitation care through community outreach, collaboration with healthcare providers, and evidence-based interventions.
Helping patients regain movement, strength, and confidence through guided therapy.
Providing wheelchairs, crutches, and walking sticks to enhance accessibility.
Extending rehabilitation support to underserved communities in collaboration with health workers.
Every story reminds us that recovery isn’t just about treatment, it’s about restoring dignity, one person at a time.
Meet Kadogo, one of the beneficiaries of GUKIRA from Kakajjo II, Old Kampala. He is blind and lost his lower limbs due to diabetes and cancer that affected his toes. Kadogo also lives with HIV/AIDS, and his condition requires constant support. GUKIRA has provided food, basic necessities, and a wheelchair through the help of a well wisher in the UK
Take a moment to hear John Kigundu ’s story a glimpse into the challenges we’re working to change, and the hope we aim to restore.
Your support brings essential care, mobility aids, and hope to those in need.
Join hands with Gukira to strengthen community rehabilitation efforts.
